Rail passengers warned of delays due to reduced service on Staffordshire line
Rail services will be reduced to one per hour due to the hot weather.
Rail passengers for a service covering Birmingham, Walsall and parts of Staffordshire have been warned to expect delays due to the hot weather.
West Midlands Railway has said that due to the hot weather, there may be some issues with the Chase Line and, as a result, it will be running a reduced service of one train per hour between Birmingham and Hednesford between 12pm and 5pm.
It will also be running rail replacement services to Rugeley Trent Valley.
A spokesman for West Midlands Rail said: “Network Rail have advised us that due to expected high temperatures, there may be some issues with the Chase Line.
“As a result, we will be running a reduced service of one train per hour between Birmingham New Street & Hednesford from 12.30pm to 5pm.
“Rail replacement buses will replace services between Hednesford and Rugeley Trent Valley”.
