Younis Choudhry said his business SR Living was one of 32 units inside the factory on Sunbeam Street in Wolverhampton which had been left in ruins after the fire, which broke out around 7.30am on Wednesday.

The fire saw more than 20 fire engines, two 4×4 brigade response vehicles, two hydraulic aerial platforms and a drone team working at the scene, with crews from Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service working to help West Midlands Fire Service, and residents living nearby were urged to keep their windows closed.

Mr Choudhry said he had been called by staff about the fire after it had taken hold and spoke about how it had caught on very quickly.
