48 homes could be built on former school site in Willenhall
Plans have been submitted to build 48 homes on a former school building site in Willenhall.
Applicant Bromford Housing Group Ltd hopes to redevelop the former Allens Centre on Hilton Road.

The site was once a local community and school building and former caretaker’s house.
The school building was subject to incidents of vandalism and arson before it was demolished in 2015.
The applicant said the site is still vulnerable to anti-social behaviour.
Bromford hopes to transform the 1.35 hectare site into four one bedroom, 15 two bedroom and 29 three bedroom homes, with 97 car parking spaces.
The plans state access to the estate would be from Hilton Road with the possibility of adding other pedestrian routes to and from the site.
In 2023, Walsall Council submitted outline plans to convert the same site into 59 homes.
The planning committee approved the plans in July 2023, subject to conditions of a Section 106 agreement for open space contributions, affordable housing, and mitigation payments towards the Cannock Chase Special Area of Conservation.
A decision for the latest application is expected to be made before January 2026.
