Plans for 12-bedroom HMO submitted for fire-hit Willenhall pub
New plans have been submitted to convert a former Willenhall pub into a 12-bedroom House of Multiple Occupation.
The Falcon Inn on Gomer Street West closed to the public in April 2022.
It’s the second application of its kind to convert the two-storey building. Walsall Council previously approved plans for a 12 bedroom HMO back in 2023.
Since its closure the building has been subjected to flooding, fire and metal thefts. In 2023 the owners said that the damage was too significant for it to be viable to operate as a pub again.
The property was sold at auction in September 2024 for £215,000.

The latest proposals, submitted by Mr Satnam Sira, include a minor fenestration works and a small rear extension.
The plans detail each of the two floors having six single bedrooms, two shower rooms and one communal kitchen. There is one laundry room on the ground floor and each bedroom has its own sink.
If approved, the tenants will have use of two car parking spaces between them.
The target date for a decision is October 2025.
