Former Brierley Hill social club to be given new lease of life - find out what's planned
A former social club in Brierley Hill is set for a new lease of life after a ruling by Dudley planners.
Officers at the council approved an application to convert the Limes Club into two flats to house up to nine people.

The building, on Fenton Street, will be divided into a three-bedroom flat for five people and a two-bedroom flat for four occupants.
Alterations to the building will include a single-storey side extension and changes to the roof to create a new room in the loft space.
Two windows and part of a side window will be blocked up and obscure glazing will be installed on the side of the building.
A previous application to convert the former club into flats in 2024 was refused after planners concluded it failed to provide an appropriate outlook for occupiers and the design was also unacceptable for the occupiers of neighbouring properties.
No objections were received during a consultation process regarding the current application.
In a report on the application, council officers said: “It is considered that the amended plans have overcome the previous reason for refusal as both units would provide an acceptable level of natural light and outlook from all habitable rooms.
“Plans have been amended to ensure that all windows on this side elevation would be secondary windows or not serve a habitable room.
“Furthermore, plans indicate that all windows on the is side elevation would be obscurely glazed and top opening.
“It is considered that the proposed development would not have an adverse impact on the neighbouring occupiers in regard to privacy to warrant a refusal.”
Highways officers recommended parking should be provided, planners found providing spaces on the site was unlikely however there was enough on-street parking to allow the development.
Planners also decided the open green space next to the building meant there was no need for a garden to be part of the development.
