Popular McDonald’s in West Midlands reopens after revamp

The McDonald’s branch has reopened after a refurb.

A McDonald’s restaurant and drive-thru in Staffordshire has reopened after a refurb.

The fast-food outlet at Birmingham Road, Wall, has introduced a new layout and new technology.

The staff room has been improved for workers and the work has also seen a redesign of the kitchen and dining areas, as well as the removal of the front counter as the company moves towards ways to "better integrate digital sales channels".

A planning statement ahead of the refurb said: “The application relates to a simple refurbishment, with no additional extensions.

“A new bin store has been introduced to improve the overall management of waste.

“The patio area is to be refurbished with new table tops and minor configuration, with the introduction of a new jumbo umbrella.

“The overall development will ensure that the store is updated to ensure that it remains sustainable.

“The external changes, while minimal, have been included in line with a larger internal refurbishment.”

The plans were approved by Lichfield District Council.
