'I'm terrified someone I love might accelerate their death', Black Country MP tells Commons why he is opposed to assisted dying bill

A Black Country MP says he is 'terrified' a loved one could end their life prematurely if the assisted dying bill was passed.
Mike Wood, Conservative MP for Kingswinford and South Staffordshire, said he disagreed with MPs who said the bil was stronger now than it was last time MPs voted in November.
At that time, MPs voted to support Kim Leadbeater's bill by 330 votes to 275.
Mr Wood said he supported the principle of assisted dying, but was not convinced that the bill had adequate safeguard, and would be voting against it.
"I'm terrified that someone I love might choose to accelerate their death," he said.
