'She has the determination to rebuild trust in Labour': Dudley MP names her preference for party deputy leader

A Black Country MP has said she will be backing Bridget Phillipson in the race to be deputy leader of the Labour Party.

Sonia Kumar, MP for Dudley, said the Education Secretary was a 'tireless campaigner' who was best placed to rebuilt trust in the Labour Party.

"As our party looks to the future, It is vital that we have a leadership team ready to unite Labour, take the fight to the opposition and deliver the change our country so urgently needs," said Miss Kumar.
