Mr Jenrick will be in Pelsall at 6pm to support Lee Chapman, the Conservative candidate in tomorrow's Pelsall by-election.

The election was called following the resignation of former Tory council leader Garry Perry,  who said he had become disillusioned with the political system.

Councillor Perry, who had been council leader for just under a year when he quit in May this year, said he had been subjected to "a campaign of political attrition, deliberate undermining, and personal hostility".

Mr Jenrick, who came second to Kemi Badenoch in last year's Conservative leadership election, will address a rally on Pelsall Common, opposite the community centre, at 6.30pm.

Mr Chapman will be standing against Graham Eardley of Reform UK, Labour's Hannah Jones, Liberal Democrat Dan Barker and the Green Party's Joe Belcher.
