New cafe at Birmingham Hospice superstore ready to welcome guests
The new cafe will provide quality food and drink while also supporting Birmingham Hospice.
A new cafe is set to bring high quality coffee and great food to a hospice superstore.
Birmingham Hospice will be opening the new café, Mello, at its award-winning Harborne superstore on the High Street, Reloved Brum, on Tuesday.
Co-founders Bhav Chamdal and Josh Thomas have been hard at work with their team over the past few weeks to bring Mello to life, serving quality coffee and a range of locally sourced food.
They said they have breakfast and lunch options, as well as pastries and treats, all with a sustainable and local ethos, and are looking forward to welcoming customers.

The pair said: “We are very excited to introduce Mello to the Harborne superstore.
“As members of the Harborne community ourselves, it’s extra special to us to be able to bring our coffee and some great food to the high street whilst supporting Birmingham Hospice.
“We can’t wait to get started.”
To celebrate the opening of Mello, the team are holding a special offer on Tuesday, with all coffees costing £2 and all proceeds going to Birmingham Hospice.

A spokesman for Birmingham Hospice said: “Birmingham Hospice is not fully funded by the government, and has to rely on fundraising and retail activity from its 27 stores across the region.
“This year, it needs to raise £8 million through fundraising activity, income from shops and voluntary donations to cover the costs of running the charity.
“Mello café will give Reloved Brum shoppers a unique experience with the option to have some quality food and drink while shopping to support their local hospice.”
Ed Blackwell, Store Manager at Reloved Brum, said: “We’re thrilled to have Mello café in store at Reloved Brum, serving drinks and tasty food from locally sourced ingredients.
“We’re excited for customers to enjoy some tasty treats while shopping for bargains in the heart of Harborne, and we’re looking forward to welcoming the community.”
