Mighty Ford F-150 Raptor arrives in the UK
Hugely powerful pick-up is capable of reaching 60mph in just 5.1 seconds
The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor pick-up has touched down in the UK.
Featuring a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine producing 444bhp, the Raptor is enormously powerful and has an on-the-road price of £78,000.
Currently only produced for the US market, this is the first time that any examples of the truck have been brought to the UK.
Expectations have been high since the previous model went out of production in 2014. Five examples have been acquired by supercar dealer Clive Sutton, who also offers a right-hand drive conversion kit for £36,000. Three of these cars have already been snapped up by enthusiasts.

The conversion uses precision-sculpted mouldings to ensure that the cabin looks as natural as possible, while specialist mechanics expertly mirror the dashboard’s appearance and functionality.
As standard, the pick-up comes fitted with performance shock absorbers and a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
Clive Sutton can also add more performance to the Raptor, boosting its power output to over 590bhp thanks to the addition of a supercharger, and an active sports exhaust.
There’s also a wealth of options available for the Raptor, including 10-way electrically adjustable and heated seats, 360-degree reversing camera system and a trailer towing package that utilises Ford’s backup assist technology.
That V6 engine is powerful enough to send the Raptor to 60mph in just 5.1 seconds – though economy does take a dive as a result, with the truck’s combined consumption figure sitting at a claimed 18mpg.
Two cars are currently available to view at Clive Sutton’s facility in London.
