Fiat launches fashion-focused Fullback Cross pick-up
New version of successful pick-up is designed to appeal to a “lifestyle market”
Fiat has taken the wraps off its Fiat Fullback Cross – a new version of its pick-up.
Designed to broaden its appeal, the Fullback Cross features stylish new elements that help lift its look.
While the Fullback Cross goes on sale through the Fiat Professional dealer network, private customers will also be able to purchase the truck through the Fiat’s passenger cars dealer network.
A range of exterior upgrades have been applied to the Fullback, which is available in either single or double cab layouts.
The front of the car features a new grille with matt black highlights as well as a satin-finish skid plate and larger side steps. The latter gives better access to the access to the truck’s cabin.
A textured black sport bar gives the Fullback Cross an imposing look on the road, while an all-black cargo space continues that.
Powered by a 2.4-litre common rail turbocharged diesel engine producing 178bhp and 430Nm of torque, the Fullback Cross is ideal for those who need a reliable but stylish workhorse. It’s available with either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic gearbox, too.
As standard the Fullback Cross is packed with loads of equipment. Trailer Stability Assist is ideal for those who are looking to use the truck as a tow car, while a central differential with three electronically controlled clutch modes dividing torque between all four wheels means that it’ll deal well with tough terrains, too.
The Fullback Cross also benefits from cruise control, Bi-Xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights as well.
Inside, a seven-inch touchscreen is fitted as standard, housing satellite navigation and DAB digital radio. Satellite navigation and heated front seats are also included.
The Fiat Fullback Cross is set to go on sale in the summer, with prices due to be announced just ahead of this.
