The first dedicated showroom to sell the McLaren supercar brand has opened its doors in the West Midlands.

Rybrook Holdings yesterday threw open the doors to its brand new McLaren Birmingham showroom in Hockley Heath.

The development, designed by Leamington-Spa firm AT Architects, will cater for prospective McLaren customers in the central regions of England and Wales.

Giving his first impressions of the new showroom, David Tibbetts, sales director at McLaren Birmingham, said: "Our new showroom looks fantastic and is a great addition to the Rybrook family. It's stunning, unique and provides us with the perfect environment to showcase the revolutionary McLaren MP4-12C.

"I'm delighted to be representing McLaren Automotive, a British marque with one of the finest motorsport heritages and a solid reputation for engineering excellence."

Sitting alongside the new McLaren automotive retail area is a new Rolls-Royce showroom and also a Rybrook Specialist cars showroom.

In the showroom, alongside two examples of the groundbreaking MP4-12C, Ayrton Senna's 1993 MP4/8 McLaren Formula 1 race car is on display linking the past with the present.

A family-run business, with the head office in Warwick, Rybrook Holdings is one of the UK’s largest privately-owned retailer groups.
McLaren Birmingham joins McLaren Manchester and McLaren London in a global network of 35 retailers, responsible for selling the all-new MP4-12C and future McLaren Automotive models.
Although the McLaren is built in Woking it uses parts and components from across the country, including several in the West Midlands.
McLaren suppliers include Bollhoff Fasteners from Willenhall (fasteners), Rimstock of West Bromwich (wheels), RW Greeff in Tamworth (adhesive), GKN Driveline in Sutton Coldfield (driveline), Harada Industries in Birmingham (infotainment) and RW Conekt in Solihull (steering)
