Motorists warned to expect delays as works begin on West Bromwich road
Motorists have been warned to expect delays on the A41 near the Hawthorns.
Motorists on a major road in West Bromwich have been warned to expect delays as essential roadworks take place.
West Midlands Roads have said that one lane will be closed on the A41 Birmingham Road near the Hawthorns, at the junction with Halfords Lane, until October 30.
The traffic provider said the works, which are for National Grid works, could cause delays up to the M5 Junction 1.
A spokesman for West Midlands Roads said: “A lane closure for essential National Grid works will be in place on the A41 Birmingham Road, near the junction with Halfords Lane in West Bromwich until October 30.
“Please expect delays, including impact across M5 Junction 1.”
