Man arrested and knife seized in Birmingham

A man has been arrested with a knife seized, following a burglary at a family home in Birmingham.

Officers were called after the incident in the Bordesley Green area in July 2024, where a group broke into the address, before carrying out a search and fleeing.

A firearm was dumped nearby.

A spokesperson from West Midlands Police said: “operation fearless officers have been carrying out a range of complex enquiries, and earlier today (October 28), a man aged 22 was arrested by armed officers in the Garretts Green area, where a zombie knife was also seized.

“The man remains in police custody being questioned on suspicion of aggravated burglary, as well as on suspicion of possessing a knife and firearm.”
