M50 closure and emergency services on the scene as lorry overturns on carriageway
Bank holiday Monday excursions may be affected.
National Highways West Midlands have warned of travel delays after a lorry overturned on the M50.
The Eastbound carriageway, between Junction 2 (Ledbury) and Junction 1 (Twyning), has become blocked due to the incident, with emergency services on the scene.
The incident was reported at 7.32am, with the roads authority saying that whilst traffic on the westbound stretch has been released, heavy delays are building on the approach to the eastbound closure.
A spokesperson said: “The M50 eastbound is closed between J2 Ledbury and J1 Twyning due to an overturned vehicle.
“All emergency services are on scene. Traffic on the westbound has been released. Delays are building on the approach to the closure.”
It is unknown yet as to the severity of the incident; however, emergency services have been approached for further information.
