Dreadlocks go as family take part in charity headshave
Family members came together for a triple head-shave as a way of showing their appreciation for a charity's support.
It was a daunting day at Farrar Hairdressers in Aldridge as Ian Cargill, son Andy Cargill and daughter-in-law Ally Cargill decided it was time to brave the shave for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Ian, who initiated the fundraising efforts as a thank you to the charity, saw his short, white head of hair get the chop. But it was Andy and Ally who had the most drastic haircuts.

By the end of the day, Andy's shoulder length pony tail and Ally's waist-length blue dreadlocks were gone, with £2,000 raised for Macmillan in return for their sacrifice.
Ian said the charity had been 'absolutely fantastic' since his wife Liz was diagnosed with a brain tumour 10 years ago.
He said: "I have been fund raising for Macmillan a lot over the last 10 years, since Liz was diagnosed with her brain tumour they have been absolutely fantastic.
"They are a lifeline and I am so thankful for their support for us as a family.
"This is just the latest idea I have had and there was no-one better than Ally and Andy to ask to join in.

"Ally had been saying she wanted to get rid of her blue dreadlocks for charity, and when I saw an advert for Brave the Shave on television, I sent her a text and got the ball rolling.
"Herself and Andy were great, they were incredibly brave."
