Costa Coffee drive-through to open off M54
Plans for a Costa Coffee drive-through off the M54 have been given the green-light.
The Gateway site at the motorway's junction with Stafford Road already houses a new Porsche dealership.
And there are plans for another 5,000 sq ft building to house shops, a restaurant, or both.
The developments make up the redevelopment of a former eyesore patch of unused land at Junction 2 of the motorway and are just around the corner from the prestigious i54 site on the Shropshire border, home to Jaguar Land Rover's engine factory and a string of other companies.
The first phase of work on the Gateway site was the Porsche dealership, which occupies more than half the available land.
The Costa drive-through and retail/restaurant building comprise phase two. Plans include space for 67 car parking spaces. Access to the site will from Stafford Road.
There is no prediction as to the number of jobs the project may create but the architects predict the site will be used by up to 10 employee vehicles and visited by around 200 customers cars a day.
The development is due to be completed by the end of the year.
