Fire investigators and police were still on the scene at St James' Caravan Park on New Road, Featherstone for the second day in a row as they worked to find the cause of the deadly fire.

But as they carried on their investigations, tributes started to emerge on social media for the owner of the caravan, Mr Molloy, a machine examiner at Wolverhampton Speedway.

He was called a 'lovely man' and an 'integral part of speedway in the area'.

Friends at Wolverhampton Speedway held a minutes' silence during their meeting on Monday, and spoke about his important role at the club. A full tribute will be paid in their next programme.

Police refused to confirm the identity of the man.

DS Neil Poultney, of Staffordshire CID, said: "We do believe we know who the person was but formal identification has to take place and that will take some time."
