The former footballer and club record scorer was invited to The Sow and Pigs, in Hill Top, by its new owners to pull a few pints for the regulars.

The pub was bought by Richard Bartram and his business partner Ron Morgan in August after being saved from demolition.

The pair brew their own beers under the name Two Crafty Brewers, in conjunction with Sadler's Brewery in Lye. The revamp took four months, but the pub was only remained closed for four days.

Mr Bartram said: "There is a big Albion following in the pub and Tony was very accommodating on the night, answering lots of questions.

"We're still adding the finishing touches to the pub but it's taken about four months to complete the majority of the revamp."

The two-room pub, which was originally a Banks's pub and had been a free house for around a decade, before being given a full refurbishment.
