Halloween: It's the Tompkin! MP Watson in spooky carving

Here's something you never thought you'd see: the deputy leader of the Labour party in pumpkin form.

This frighteningly accurate likeness of West Bromwich East MP Tom Watson was carved by his nephews and nieces to celebrate Halloween.

It was shared among his 204,000 followers more than 120 times and 'favourited' more than 300.

So accurate was the likeness that Gateshead MP Ian Mearns suggested it was just a picture of Mr Watson with a candle up his nose.

And his followers compared the face on the pumpkin to that of internet sensation Grumpy Cat, comedian Eric Morecambe and even South Park's animated schoolteacher Mr Garrison, while another recommended that 15 more were needed to represent the whole shadow cabinet.
