Pedestrian who died in West Bromwich crash named

A pedestrian who died following a crash in West Bromwich has been named.

Radoslaw Konisiewicz suffered a head injury, was knocked unconscious, and suffered multiple fractures to his legs and pelvis after being hit by a silver Jaguar on the Expressway near to the junction with Trinity Way.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham following the crash at 5.30am on Sunday, September 27, but sadly the 27-year-old from Handsworth died from his injuries on Sunday, October 4.

Sergeant Steve Newbury, from the force's collision investigation unit, said: "Enquiries are ongoing, but I would like to appeal for anyone who saw the collision in the early hours of September 27 or anyone who knows of Mr Konisiewicz's movements between midnight and 5.30am that day to call on 101."
