Not so speedy,Tai! Woffinden sent to the classroom after being caught breaking the limit

Wolves speedway rider Tai Woffinden has had to attend a speed awareness course, it has emerged.

The former world champion, who is on the books at Wolverhampton Wolves but currently rides for teams in Poland and Sweden, made the revelation on Twitter.

The 25-year-old won the world championship in 2013.

Until the end of last year he also rode for the Wolverhampton Wolves in the British Elite League, but announced in late 2014 that he would not be riding in Britain during 2015 in his quest to regain his world crown.

Woffinden is the current captain of the GB team that finished fourth in the Speedway World Cup Final, held in Bydgoszcz, Poland, last year.

He is currently streets ahead in the world championship table and is expected to lift the title.
