Brothers' Black Country Bullet has land speed record in sights
It will be powered by RAF Jaguar jet engines, reach speeds of more than 300mph – and it's being designed in the Black Country.
The Black Country Bullet speed car, the brainchild of Wordsley-born Lee Gallimore, is being designed to beat the outright British Land Speed record, currently 301mph.
Lee and his brother Andrew, who run their own Willenhall-based business L.A Commercials Limited, hope to reveal a model version in the next few weeks.

The pair would like to see the car built and ready to break records from about 2019.
They want the car to go so fast that it could attempt the Outright World Land Speed record of 763mph which was recorded in 1997.
The enthusiastic pair, who unveiled their plan at the RAF Cosford Air Show, are now on a funding drive to help turn their ideas into reality.
With the project already backed by RAF Cosford, the pair say they will need £900,000.
They aim to raise money by getting sponsorship from businesses and residents as well as money from merchandise which they hope will raise further awareness of the project.
Speed has played a big part in Lee's and Andrew's lives who currently spend many of their spare hours competing in drag races events around the UK and Europe. Lee is currently the UK defending Supercharged Outlaws drag racing club champion.
Lee, 48, a father of three who works as a mechanic, said: "I decided I wanted to build this car just over a year ago. Having nearly bought a jet car a few years back I thought it was time to build my own with the help of experts.
"The pictures we have at the moment are the concept design of my idea. We are hoping the people of the Black Country and businesses will get behind us to help us fund our concept and get this car built.
"We want the car to be dedicated to the Black Country because that is where we are from and we want it to be built in the Midlands. There's nothing else like this
"We want its first run to go for the current British Land Speed record which stands at 301 mph. We would like to attempt the record runs at Pendine Sands in Wales which holds many land speed records.
"The engines we hope will power the car will be coming from an RAF Jaguar tactical strike fighter jet.
"We have full support from RAF Cosford with our project and they have offered to loan us a jet engine to start our project build which are a pair of Rolls-Royce's finest Adour Mk104s.
"These engines produce together in full power burner mode 16,080lbs thrust and in the aircraft at low level they will do 1,050mph.
"RAF Cosford are also looking into using our car when its built to help with RAF recruitment and training."
The brothers' drag racing pedigree saw them invited last year to the Top Gear Live Show in Barbados where they got to race reigning Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton.
