Teenage girl treated for 'potentially serious' injuries after crash in Wolverhampton

A teenage girl was treated for "potentially serious" injuries after being hit by a car in Wolverhampton.

Emergency services were called to Langley Road in Lower Penn shortly after 8am today (Thursday, February 5) after a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance to the scene, where crews treated a teenage girl for potentially serious injuries before taking her to New Cross Hospital.

A spokesman from WMAS said: "We were called to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian on Langley Road at 8.13am, one ambulance attended the scene.

"On arrival we discovered one patient, a teenage girl who was the pedestrian. She was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to New Cross Hospital."

West Midlands Police has been approached for comment.
