Teenager who reached speeds of up to 70 mph in Willenhall is stopped by persistent officers
A teenager is in custody after police officers used a stinger device to bring his car to a stop in Willenhall.
His vehicle had twice failed to stop for officers in the previous 24-hours and reached speeds of 70 mph in a 30mph zone but when it was spotted in the Heath Town area at around 5pm yesterday (Tuesday) officers used the device to bring it to a halt.
The driver - the sole occupant - was arrested and following searches a knife was recovered.

A small quantity of suspected cannabis and a number of items related to vehicle thefts were also seized.
They will be forensically examined as investigations continue.
A 19-year-old man remains in police cells this afternoon on suspicion of dangerous driving, theft of a vehicle, possession of a blade and possessing cannabis.
