A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with 'potentially serious injuries' after a crash in Wolverhampton this morning.

Emergency services responded to the incident on Loxdale Street in Bilston, around the Chapel Street junction area, after a collision between a car and a motorbike.

One man, the motorcyclist, was injured in the crash shortly after 8am on Wednesday, January 28.

A spokeswoman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of an RTC involving a car and a motorbike on Chapel Street in Bilston at 8.01am and sent an ambulance to the scene.

"On arrival crews found a man, the motorcyclist, who they treated for potentially serious injuries before conveying him to New Cross Hospital."

West Midlands Police have also been approached for comment.
