Public asked to have their say on plans to redevelop crucial site in Bilston
Members of the public are being asked for their views on how best to redevelop a major approach to Bilston town centre.
Wolverhampton Council is carrying out a survey of the different options for developing the 'High Street Link' site, which connects the town's High Street to Pinfold Street.

At the moment the thoroughfare is being used as a temporary market, while the main outdoor market is being redeveloped,.but the plan is to turn the site into a major public open space that will provide a pedestrian-friendly link between High Street and the Bert Williams Leisure Centre.
Councillor Chris Burden, cabinet member for city development, said previous consultation with the local community and groups, especially young people, had shaped the designs that have been produced for the re-imagined open space.
An exhibition, where people can view the possible designs, has been organised to take place in nearby Bert Turner Boulevard on October 16, between 8am and 2pm.
Councillor Burden said: "The Bilston High Street Link improvements are part of our wider works to deliver the best for the town.
“We not only want to enhance this public space to create a better environment, but also make it a thriving space for activities, particularly for the young people of Bilston."
He said public feedback had played an important role in helping the council produce plans for the area, and was seeking residents' final thoughts on the designs before submitting a planning application.
He urged people to take part in the online survey, which runs until October 24, through the website wolverhampton.gov.uk/bilstonhsl
"It is important for our traditional local centres to flourish, and this scheme builds substantially on the investment already made in Bilston in recent years," he said.
