Thousands attend grand opening of newly refurbished GO Outdoors store in Wolverhampton
Thousands attended the grand opening event of the newly refurbished GO Outdoors store in Wolverhampton over the weekend.
The newly refurbished GO Outdoors store in Wolverhampton opened at 9am on Saturday 21 March with more than 2,300 customers visiting the grand opening event.

Store Manager, Marc Brown, welcomed the first 150 groups of queuing customers with a goody bag. Three lucky customers bagged vouchers worth up to £500, as they headed in to browse their newly refreshed store.
Celebrations continued throughout the day, with free hot drinks and entertainment including a DJ, balloon modeller and face painter keeping spirits high.
Leisure Lakes helped bring a buzz to the event, hosting competitions and undertaking free bike safety checks for customers.
GO Outdoors is the UK’s biggest outdoor retailer, providing expert advice, great value and an unmatched choice of outdoor products that help make the outdoors accessible to all.
The store on Bilston Road in Wolverhampton stocks a wide selection of top outdoor brands, including Rab, OEX, and Berghaus, as well as trusted brands such as Peter Storm, Hi-Gear, and Osprey.
It also features a Leisure Lakes cycling concession and a refreshed Fishing Republic range, as well as a large tent field and hiking department.
Free boot and rucksack fitting services are also available, with up to three hours free parking for customers.
Store Manager Mr Brown said: “We are so thrilled to have officially opened the doors of our newly refreshed GO Outdoors store, and to showcase the best in outdoor equipment and apparel to the people of Wolverhampton.
“With such a strong turnout, the grand opening event was a huge success, and it was so great to see members of the local community discovering what the store has to offer.
“Our team are all outdoor enthusiasts who take pleasure in helping inspire and equip others for whatever adventure they’re gearing up for. From dog walkers to cyclists and anglers, everyone is welcome - and there is something for everyone!”
To celebrate the refurbishment, GO Outdoors is currently offering 15 percent off across most departments in-store until 26 March excluding Leisure Lakes products.
