Throwdown Darts, owned by Wolves fan Luke Bodily, hosted another event at the Cleveland Arms with the majority of tickets being snapped up almost immediately to see ‘Happy Feet’ Hood live in action.

Hood competed in an exhibition darts tournament against various players in the Black Country and showed his class on another fantastic darts night.

This isn’t the first time one of Darts’ best have come to the West Midlands, Stephen Bunting and Michael Smith have also been on the same oche. Throughout the PDC system, each player has different goals and personalities, but Hood’s dream is certainly unique.

After earning over £100,000, Hood revealed he wants to open his own Chinese restaurant and has provided an update of his plan.

“It’ll probably be the end of this year or the start of next year when we can actually put some plans into place.

“It’s been so busy since the worlds, it’s been a whirlwind doing all these interviews, exhibitions and the pro tour is starting back up again – we're in Minehead next week so it’s a lot to take on.

“We’re hoping we’re not in Weston this time next year, I’ve had Connor Scutt and Rob Cross message me about going up there so we could look up there.”

World number two Luke Humphries admitted he was involved in the plans to open the restaurant with Hood during the World Championships and Hood is hoping he can lend a hand from Humphries.

“It’s his word, he’s said it live on telly so I’m hoping I can come to him for some money”, chuckled Hood.
