Seven awe-inspiring wonders of Wolverhampton that we think are worth a visit
The Great Pyramid of Giza may be a bit of a distance from Wolverhampton, but not to worry we have rounded up seven local gems that can evoke a similar sense of joy and wonder right here on our doorstep.
These enchanting locations in Wolverhampton inspire awe and joy, as we explore the region's must-see wonders.
From historic sites to football stadiums, these spots deserve recognition, and plenty more visitors than they currently experience.
While they may not make the actual seven wonders of the world which include the Great Pyramid of Giza, we think that these sites can provide a certain sense of everyday joy that’s accessible to local Wolverhampton residents, as they live and work around the city every single day.
Without further ado, here are the great wonders of our great city:
1. Molineux Stadium

Home of the Wolverhampton Wanderers (not wonder, but still a wonder in our eyes). The grounds are the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC since 1889, has a current, capacity of about 31,700 to 31,750 spectators.
For any sports-lovers who have not had the chance to head down to the stadium, it's recommended that you head down there. You can also keep up-to-date with all the comings and goings of this beloved football club on our website.
2. Wightwick Manor and Gardens

The manor is a significant heritage place for all things arts, especially as it pertains to pre-Raphaelite art, holding a significant public collection.
