Jemma Williamson's appearance in the Take That Netflix documentary went viral after a clip was shown of her at a signing event in Chester for the band more than 30 years ago. At the time she was, aged 14, and travelled from her home in the Wirral hoping to meet the star, but was unable to to get inside to meet him.

Instead of being put off she stayed behind and and was filmed making an enthusiastic appeal to the singer to phone her. The footage found its way in the Netflix series and subsequently onto social media.

During his show at The University of Wolverhampton The Halls on Monday night 51-year-old Robbie, who never responded at the time, invited Jemma to recreate the moment in front of the cheering audience. Introducing her to them, he said: “Please welcome Jemma from the Take That documentary.”

She also repeated the comment she made on the footage: “Robbie’s my favourite because he’s got gorgeous eyes and a gorgeous body and he can call me any time.”

And she confessed that that the phone number she reeled off in the 1990s no longer works. Robbie then gave beaming Jemma a hug before she returned to her seat.

The original documentary clip attracted more than 107,000 Instagram likes after he attempted to dial Jemma's old number while watching the new series, which he told The Halls audience prompted some of his followers to  advise him to add the area code.
