Wolverhampton road to remain closed 'until further notice' following huge factory fire

Wolverhampton Council has announced that a road will remain closed "until further notice" following a devastating fire.

Wolverhampton Council has said that Upper Villiers Street, Wolverhampton, will remain 'temporarily closed until further notice' at its junction with Moorfield Road and Sunbeam Street. 

It follows a devastating fire that ripped through 35 businesses at the Imex Business Park on Wednesday, January 14.

The blaze devastated a number of organisations including a charity, Amazing Grace International, which helped vulnerable and homeless people.

More than 21 fire engines attended the fire at its height, including two brigade response vehicles, three hydraulic platforms, and five support vehicles.
