Road closure around Wolverhampton factory site after huge blaze remains in place
A road sitting next to buildings severely damaged by a massive fire is set to remain closed as safety work goes on.
Wolverhampton Council has confirmed that a section of Upper Villiers Street between Moorfield Road and Sunbeam Street will remain closed until further notice.

The council said the closure was due to ongoing building safety work with the owner of the unit, which was severely damaged when the fire broke out on January 15, with a black smoke cloud seen as far as the M6 Toll Road in Staffordshire.
A spokesman for Wolverhampton Council said: "Upper Villiers Street remains temporarily closed, from its junction with Moorfield Road to its junction with Sunbeam Street, until further notice, to facilitate ongoing building safety work in conjunction with the business owner following a fire in Sunbeam Street.

"We continue to work closely with transport operators.
