West Midlands Metro delays after broken down lorry blocks Wolverhampton Station

A broken down lorry caused disruption on West Midlands Metro network this morning (Wednesday).

West Midlands Metro posted on X at just after 6.20am that due to a broken down lorry blocking Wolverhampton Station, trams were operating between Wolverhampton St George's to Edgbaston Village only. 

There were no trams operating to Wolverhampton Station or Pipers Row.

However, West Midlands Metro posted at 8.20am that the incident had been cleared.

The updated post said: "The medical emergency and lorry blocking tracks have now been cleared. 

"There may be some delays while we reform the service. Thank you for your patience."
