'Just ask it to moooove' - Stray cow spotted on canal towpath in Wolverhampton

A lost cow has been spotted enjoying a walk in the snow on a canal path in Wolverhampton.

It comes two days after reports of a herd of cows being spotted on the Bridgnorth Road near the Mermaid pub in Compton, Wolverhampton.

Facebook user Jack Gould uploaded the picture showing the cow on a snow-covered canal towpath between Castlecroft and Langley.

The post read: "Don't know who needs to hear this but there's a cow on the canal path between Castlecroft and Langley. Cow field that runs across to Bridgnorth Road. Farmer please collect your cow as its blocking the path!"

One reply to the post commented: " There’s always cows loose on there, quite scary if you try and get past them."

Another user added: "There were a few more out at night last week."

One commenter joked: "Just ask it to mooooove."

The path is now believed to be cleared.
