West Midlands Police officers came across two young men on Hickman Avenue in the early hours of Tuesday, December 2, pushing a Honda motorbike, which was believed to have been stolen from Park Road East in Wolverhampton last month, along with an industrial cleaner, which officers suspect was also stolen.

The men ran from officers but were detained a short time later, with support from the National Police Air Service and the force's police dogs.

Police have appealed for information.

A 16-year-old and a 23-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. The teenager was later bailed, while the man remains in custody this morning, helping with police enquiries.

West Midlands Police say: "Vehicle crime is currently a priority across Wolverhampton and local officers are working to identifying those involved in crime, while offering advice to help motorists keep their vehicles safe."
