Cordon lifted but police continue to investigate 'suspected firearms discharge' in Wolverhampton residential area
Police have lifted a cordon covering three roads in Wolverhampton but are continuing to investigate reports of a possible shooting in the area.
West Midlands Police officers were present all morning and into the afternoon in Moseley Village, Wolverhampton, at the junction of Old Heath Road, Deansfield Road and Eastfield Road east of the city centre.

The cordon was centred on the mini-island where the roads meet, blocking access to traffic.
Police have now said they have lifted the cordon but continue to investigate reports of a suspected shooting, though officers have not been made aware of any injuries.
The cordon was lifted at around 4.30pm.
An earlier statement from West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating after a report of a suspected firearms discharge in Eastfield Road in Wolverhampton at around 12.35am this morning (Tuesday).
"No-one has reported any injuries to us and investigators are carrying out a number of searches in the area but no evidence of a discharge has yet been found.
"We are working to establish the full circumstances, with ongoing door-to-door enquiries and CCTV and doorbell footage being recovered and reviewed.

"Neighbourhood officers are also in the area to offer reassurance to local people.
"Anyone with information can contact us on 101 or via Live Chat on our website quoting log 91 of October 21."
Residents told the Express & Star the cordon was there when they woke up this morning but that police had not made them aware of the nature of the incident.

National Express West Midlands had earlier warned passengers of an "incident" in the area which had resulted in its 82 bus service being diverted.

Javinder Singh, 45 told the Express & Star: "I haven't seen anything, we woke up and it was cordoned off, we aren't sure what happened.
"There were bangs last night, but it is Diwali so it could have been fireworks."
It follows the shooting of a 19-year-old man in Wolverhampton just over a week ago. The man was found in the Peel Street car park with a gunshot wound to the leg on October 12 and taken to hospital.
Meanwhile police are still searching for the person who shot dead two men who were sitting in a vehicle on Leicester Road, Whitmore Reans, at around 3.10 on Friday, September 19.
Duaine Mills, aged 28, was pronounced dead at the scene, whilst father of three Syed Zain Ali, aged 32, was rushed to hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation into the murders is asked to contact West Midlands Police on 101, or alternatively on the Live Chat service on the force website, quoting reference number 358 of September 19.
