The funding will deliver a flexible £2 million each year for the next decade, in a policy designed to support local jobs, community facilities, green spaces, and adaptable measures to make the area safer and stronger for residents.

The money will be paid to Wolverhampton Council, and an independent board made up of the MP, local councillors, and members of the community will determine where the money is spent.

Mrs Brackenridge said: “When I was elected, I promised on the doorstep to fight for investment in Wolverhampton North East, and I am proud to have delivered on that promise in Low Hill.

"This £20 million will change lives over the next decade, and I will be making sure it is spent where residents and local people need it the most."

Mrs Brackenridge urged residents of Low Hill to get in touch and to share their views on how they thought the money would be best used.

“While I fought for this funding, it won’t be me decided how it is spent," she said.

"These decisions must be led by and made by the community of Low Hill."
