'He means so much to us' - Will Smith-mad father and daughter live their dreams after meeting hero at Wolverhampton show
A father and daughter desperate to meet their Hollywood hero enjoyed a memorable day at Will Smith's Wolverhampton show.
Michael Rose and his daughter Poppy have been fans of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star for years, enjoying his work in film, TV and music.
So, when Smith's 'Based on a True Story' tour was announced the pair, who live in Manchester, planned to meet their hero in London - only to miss him and be forced to plan again.

"We went to the main show in London, but we missed the time where we would have been able to meet him," Michael explained. "Me and my daughter were very worried, but we spoke to his team and they said we'd be able to meet him at the Wolverhampton show if we were able to make it, which we were.
"Will Smith means so much to us, and I said to him I hope he knows how much positivity he gave to people through his films and music.
"I think he's one of the last great movie stars, and I'd say at one point he was the biggest movie star in history.
"It was a very positive experience, and he was so sweet with my daughter.

"She was in awe. She couldn't believe that the Genie from Aladdin was stood there in front of her.
"We travelled down from Manchester to London and we'd been waiting to meet him for such a long time, so when we missed him me and my daughter thought it wasn't going to happen.
"Wolverhampton's a wonderful place and I have got a special place in my heart for the city. The whole experience was amazing."
