'It has been truly heartbreaking' - Murdered Wolverhampton pensioner's family pay tribute to 'dearly loved great grandfather' as killer sentenced
Harold Monk loved nothing more than filling out his Express & Star crossword every night.
However, hours after finishing his final crossword he was attacked by Paul Topham in his own home.
The 94-year-old died from his injuries in hospital devastating his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr Monk's daughter Patricia Monk said on behalf of the family: "The impact on us, as a family has been devastating. Since the attack in October 2024 to the moment we found out Dad had succumbed to his injures will haunt us forever."
