A developer plans to build up to 767 new homes on farmland in a village near Wolverhampton.
Persimmon Homes is seeking outline permission for the development off Keepers Lane in Codsall.
In its application to South Staffordshire Council, the builder said the proposals would not have a significant impact on the environment.
The scheme is for 109-acre site between Keepers Lane and Birches Road, bounded by the River Penk in the south.
