The banking giant will close the branch in Queen Square on November 20, ahead of a move to a smaller branch in the Mander Centre the following week.

Regional director Peter Panayiotou said the move would have little effect on customers.

"Everything stays the same, all the services you're used to will be available," he said.

"Our branch colleagues and opening times will stay the same."
