Wolverhampton MS Centre hoping to attract new volunteers with charity fun day this weekend
The Wolverhampton Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre is hosting a fundraising afternoon tea as part of a campaign to attract more volunteers.
Between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday (July 12) a variety of homemade cakes, scones, jams, clotted cream and drinks will be available to buy, with all proceeds going to the MS Centre.
Entry for the event organised by the Tettenhall and District Women's Institute will cost £7.50 upon arrival at the centre, which is located on Old Holyhead Road off the Tettenhall Road, WV6 0JZ.
Derek Clarke, chair of Wolverhampton MS Centre, said: "We're trying to raise money for the MS Centre through this event as we do with many others, because we're a voluntary organisation that relies on charity donations and the general public.
"Our 40th year is coming up next year, so anybody who can help us is very, very welcome, and that's what we're hoping will happen."

Heather Macey, president of Tettenhall and District Women's Institute, added: "We are trying to support the MS centre because it is one of our charities for this year, and as a charitable institution ourselves one of our remits is to support local charities, and you can't get any more local than this.
"It's a fantastic charity and we're very proud to be able to support them, both financially as well as by some of our members coming here to volunteer.
