Jonathan Tsoka had been fighting with a man outside his home in St Joseph's Court, Leasowes Drive, Merry Hill, before getting in the tower block's lift with the woman.

CCTV cameras caught footage of him first punching the woman, then headbutting her and then dragging her out of the lift by her hair on the evening of October 30 last year.

Amanda O'Mara, prosecuting, said: "He dragged her lifeless body like a rag doll. The CCTV operator rang the police and they arrested him.

"When they showed Tsoka the CCTV footage he was 'shocked' what he had done."
