Road outside homes in Willenhall closed again due to repairs following burst water pipe
A residential street in Willenhall has been closed due to a burst water pipe.
The pipe has been repaired following the burst which happened in Longwood Rise overnight on Friday (February 20). There is a gaping hole left in the roadway near the junction with Redpine Crest and Furzebank Way off Stroud Avenue, Short Heath, Willenhall.
Water firm Severn Trent stated: “We’re sorry for the disruption on Longwood Rise, which was caused by a burst water pipe. Our teams have repaired the pipe and are now fixing damage caused to the road, with traffic management in place to protect them and the public.
"We’re hopeful the road will be reopened later this week and want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.”
In January 2025 bad weather resulted in flooding at the junction of Longwood Rise and Redpine Crest.
