Arrests made after police find two men 'hiding in crawl space' in Willenhall business after hours

Two men, aged 19 and 36, have been arrested following a reported break-in at a business premises in Willenhall.

West Midlands Police officers were called to Walsall Street at around 8.40pm yesterday (July 28) to reports that someone had gained access to a business premises.

On arrival, officers quickly discovered two men hiding in an "upper crawl space" in the building. Tools used for gaining access to the building were recovered close by. 

Both men were arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of burglary, where they remain while police continue their enquiries.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "Officers have been carrying out Safer Streets Summer operations in the town centre, where we carry out patrols and support local businesses.

"It is part of a national initiative running in town centres and high streets across the UK, focusing on anti-social behaviour, retail and street crime."
