'We want fair representation for Darlaston' - Campaigners call for residents to have say on how £20m government fund is spent

Campaigners calling for 'fair representation' on how £20m will be spent on Darlaston turned out to make their feelings known on Saturday.

Residents, Tony Rowley and Alison Humpage spoke to the public outside Darlaston Library and encouraged them to sign a petition which already has 700 signatures calling for fair representation on the board of the plan, which will decide how £20m of government investment is spent over the next decade.

Each project has to align with the national Plan for Neighbourhoods priorities but Tony and Alison said the money should be 'for the residents, by the residents.'
