Blaze at Brownhills recycling yard involved lorries and 'several cars' - fire service
A fire at a Walsall recycling yard involved "several cars" and lorries.
Fire crews were called to Coppice Side Industrial Estate on Collier Close, Brownhills, shortly after 7pm on Wednesday (June 18).
The blaze involved two lorries, a pile of tyres and several cars, West Midlands Fire Service has confirmed.
Members of the public were urged to avoid the area while firefighters battled the blaze.
Firefighters wearing breathing equipment used four hose reels to extinguish the flames.
A West Midlands Fire Service spokesman added: "Onsite staff evacuated the premises before we arrived, and there were no injuries or casualties.
"The last fire engine left the scene shortly before 9.45pm and the site was handed back to the owner."
