Motorcyclist rushed to hospital after Walsall crash - heavy delays in area

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a crash, which caused major delays to a key route in Walsall.
The incident involving a car and motorbike happened on the B4210 in Bloxwich at the junction with Harden Road at about 2:15pm, blocking the northbound carriageway
Drivers were warned to expect delays and were urged to allow extra time for their journeys. Alternative routes are advised while the road remains closed.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance service said: “We were called at 2.18pm to a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike on Bloxwich Road in Walsall. One ambulance attended the scene. Upon arrival we found a man who was the motorcyclist. He was assessed and had sustained potentially serious injuries.
"He received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to Walsall Manor Hospital for further assessment.”
